A = anisotrope, doppelbrechende Bande (A-Bande, Länge entspricht der Länge der Myosinfilamente MF);
Af = Aktinfilamentlänge (von Z bis zum H-Streifen); Grg = Beta-Glykogengranula;
H = Hensenscher (heller) Streifen; i = isotrope, nicht doppelbrechende Bande (i-Bande wird bei Kontraktion kürzer);
M = M-Streifen, Mesophragma (Verbindungen von Myosinfilamenten);
MF = Länge der Myosinfilamente (entspricht A-Bande); Mi = Mitochondrien (Crista-Typ);
SER = sarkoplasmatisches Retikulum (glattes endoplasmatisches Retikulum, entspricht L-Tubulus, speichert Ca++);
ZZ-Streifen (hier Verbindung der Aktinfilamente miteinander);
* = Sarkomer (funktionelle Grundeinheit = Strecke von Z-Streifen zu Z-Streifen).
